Tune Up Cruise-in at Dairy Queen on US 27 (stoplight #6)
If you live locally or are planning on getting to town early, join as we relax and tell some cruisin' tales
while enjoying some tasty ice cream! This is a very relaxing way to kick off the cruisin' weekend.
Noon-2PM:
Early Bird Meet & Greet/Q97 Live Remote from Visitors Center!
1 block west of Kmart on Hwy 80, stop by and say "hi!", FREE Pepsi's and T-shirts along with great
classic rock from Q97! We would love to meet you!
6PM-10PM:
Wal-Mart's Rock & Roll Block Party at stoplight #13 on US 27!
Bring your classic or hotrod and enjoy fun for the entire family! Door prizes, costume contests, food, live
bands and dancing! Over 250 showcars attend this event each month, don't miss it!
8:30AM-9:30AM: Saturday Morning Fun Run ***Grand Central Shopping
Center, at stoplight #18***Fun Run participants will receive a FREE
breakfast at the Rally Point before departing.
We depart at 9:30AM promptly for the September destination...beautiful and scenic Cumberland
Falls! Nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest in southern KY is one of natures best kept secrets.
The majestic beauty and power of Cumberland Falls is sure to make for one of our most memorable
Fun Run's! Bring your camera's and camcorders!

Cruise Entrance Gates Open in Downtown Somerset for the Show &
Shine!!!
Blocks and blocks of showcars and trucks! Stroll thru the downtown area admiring all the chrome
and horsepower, talk to car owners and enjoy the family oriented atmosphere! Don't forget to visit
our official merchandise trailer for the brand new '08 t-shirts for adults and kids. In the Vendor Alley,
you can sample great food, check out vendor displays and shop for new performance and
restoration parts. There is always plenty to see and do at SomernitesCruise! Stop by the DJ trailer
and leave us a bumper sticker or dash plaque with your car club's name on it and we will display it
proudly in the trailer! You will enjoy the great cruisin' tunes all over town too!
September is Corvette Cruisers month!!!
It's time to celebrate America's Sportscar! Yes, we're talking about the Corvette and September is
their month to shine at SomernitesCruise! From the sharp little original 6 cylinder's thru big block
427's and right up to the new world class ZO6's of today, these are truly America's favorites and we
want to see yours! Once again we will provide an exclusive area inside the Somernites Show &
Shine for Corvettes only! This event is sponsored by your local source for Corvette's, Somerset
Automotive Group!
Cornhole Tournament at Somernites!
Start practicing now for the monthly Cornhole Tournament to be held during the Show & Shine! The
Young Chamber Professionals of Lake Cumberland will host the games in the parking lot next to the
old Library. Registration begins at 2:00PM and the first cornbag will be tossed at 4:30PM. Cost is $20
per team and the winners will split the pot with the March of Dimes for charity. It's for a great cause
so, don't miss out!
Celebration of Freedom: 6:30PM on the Square in downtown Somerset
Since 2001, we set aside a few moments each September to remember and thank all the men and
women who serve in various capacities to protect and ensure our way of life in America. From
members of our armed forces to firefighters, policemen and first responders, we thank you all for
your sacrifices, commitment and courage! This ceremony will feature patriotic music along with a
few words of inspiration. All former veterans are especially welcomed to attend and we ask that
everyone who chooses please display the American flag respectfully on your showcars or trucks.

Cruisin' The Strip!
We know it's one of the main reasons you come to SomernitesCruise so, get your car out on "the
strip" and cruise! Thousands of spectators waving and cheering from streetside! Lots of activities at
businesses up and down the strip. Tune your radio to 97.1FM for great tunes and cruise the night
away! There's plenty to see and do, just remember...we want to see you cruising your car or truck!
It's a blast! Have fun and we'll see you back next month!
