| ATTENTION SOMERNITES CRUISERS! The following rules are in place to help ensure that your visit with us at Somernites is both safe and enjoyable. So, please familiarize yourself with these rules and if you have any questions feel free to contact us thru the website. SHOW & SHINE RULES Absolutely no parking of show vehicles inside the barracaded Show & Shine area before the gates open at 2PM. All Show & Shine participants must line up outside either the North or West entrance gates. No "jumping line" to enter the Show & Shine area. Show vehicles will enter in the order they have lined up outside the entrances. Once inside, you must park where you are directed to park by the Somernites Cruise Team parking crews. You may exit and re-enter at any time. Absolutely no burnouts or displays of power or speed inside the Show & Shine area. Violators will be asked to leave immediately. This is a safety concern due to the large numbers of spectators we have in the streets. No reserving parking spots or entry from any point other than either the North or West Entry Gates. Follow the instructions of the Somernites Cruise Management Team (those guys and gals in the yellow shirts) at all times. No alcoholic beverages or vulgar behavior allowed. No bicycles, scooters or skateboards are allowed into the Show & Shine area. Somernites Show & Shine Criteria
There have been some questions about the criteria for entrance into the Show & Shine area at
Somernites Cruise, especially from owners of late model imports. The Show & Shine portion of
Somernites Cruise is a special event for special cars and trucks but, more importantly, the
downtownarea has limited parking space available and for these reasons, we must have a few
criteria foradmittance. If you have never attended the Cruise but, would like to and have a question
about your caror truck being admitted, please email us! We answer all e-mails. On Cruise Day, be
courteous and talkto the guys at the Entrance Gates, we will try to work with you.
The following are general guidelines for the type of vehicles we admit to the Show & Shine:
Antique (25 years or older) and classic cars and trucks.
Original Muscle Cars (including modern heritage Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, Corvettes, Vipers,
etc.)
Street Rods, Pro-street or Customized vehicles.
Late model vehicles, import AND domestic that have atleast three(3) visible major modifications
including but, not limited to...
A. Body Mods (including graphics, body kits, tonneau covers, etc.)
B. Suspension Mods (raised, lowered, hydraulics)
C. Underhood modifications (substantial) will be considered in combination with external mods.
Specialty vehicles of a rare and interesting nature (race cars, low production, exotic, one-off's)..
Sorry, no motorcycles or semi's.
All cars must be clean and presentable.
Work in progress cars or trucks must be clean, have no dangerous or sharp edges and not be a
safety
hazard. No vehicles on trailers inside the show area.
Somernites Cruise Management Team reserves the right to deny entry to any vehicle it deems
necessary for any reason.
Somernites Cruise is not responsible for any damage to or loss of participant property or vehicles.
