If you live locally or are planning on getting to town
early, join as we relax and tell some cruisin' tales
while enjoying some tasty ice cream! This is a very
relaxing way to kick off the cruisin' weekend.

Early Bird Meet & Greet/Q97 Live Remote from Visitors Center!
1 block west of Kmart on Hwy 80, stop by and say "hi!", FREE Pepsi's and T-shirts along with great
classic rock from Classic Hits Q97! Cruise Team members will be onhand and we would love to meet
you!

Rock & Roll Block Party presented by
Somerset Walmart is now at stoplight #15
(The Center) on US 27!
Bring your classic or hotrod and enjoy this fun, “ must do”
for the entire family! Door prizes, contests, food, live bands
and dancing! Over 250 showcars attend this event each
month, don't miss it! Feel free to “cruise the strip” on
Friday night as well! Cruise weekend is just getting started!
Friday, June 26th, 10PM-2AM:
***New Event! Midnight Madness at London Dragway!***
Grudge race, test & tune or simply have some fun at the dragstrip! Cost is $10 per car and there is
no limit on the number of timed passes you can make. A caravan from the Wal-Mart Block Party will
leave at 9:15pm to head over to the track. The Rally area will be the parking lot in front of Lowes
Home Center. Brought to you by London Dragway and KyStreets.com

Saturday Morning Fun Run ***Grand
Central Shopping Center, at stoplight
#18***Fun Run participants will receive
a FREE breakfast and a drawing will be
held for one detail & cleanup package
valued at $50-$75 courtesy of Grand
Central Merchants!
We will depart at 9:30AM promptly for the June
destination...MILL SPRINGS BATTLEFIELD!!! This
Civil War battlefield and encampment offers the visitor
an opportunity to walk on the actual site of an early and
important battle from one of the most turbulent times in
our country’s past. You will be witness to living history on
display along this guided tour. We strongly recommend this Fun Run as one of our most popular and
informative. Camera’s and camcorders are a must! There is a small fee of $4 for entry to the
Battlefield and the Museum.

Cruise Entrance Gates Open in Downtown
Somerset for the Show & Shine!!!
It’s the Big Show!!! Blocks and blocks of showcars and
trucks! Stroll thru the downtown area admiring all the
chrome and horsepower, talk to car owners and enjoy the
family oriented atmosphere! Don't forget to visit our official
merchandise trailer for the brand new '09 t-shirts for adults
and kids. In the Vendor Alley, you can sample great food,
check out vendor displays and shop for new performance
and restoration parts. There is always plenty to see and do
at SomernitesCruise! You will enjoy the great cruisin' tunes all over town too!
June is Tri-Five Chevy month!!!
For June, it’s all about shining chrome and tailfins! Nothing
says cruising like seeing a 55, 56 or 57 beauty rolling
down the highway. This month we focus the spotlight
on these classics and we invite you to bring your baby
out to be a part of the fun! All models of 55 thru 57's will
be given a special area inside the Show & Shine to strut
their stuff. 210's, Bel-Air's, with or without continental kits,
original or custom...bring 'em all out for everyone to see!
We also encourage Tri-Five Chevy Club’s to make this
month’s show a mini-meet destination!
Hollywood Hotrods as an added bonus!
As an added bonus for June, we would also like to encourage any owners of Hollywood Movie or TV
show replica cars to bring your rides out! We will park you together near the center of the Show &
Shine area. Please contact us to let us know what you are bringing so that we may better prepare
for the number of Hollywood Hotrods in attendance on this day!
Cruisin' The Strip all weekend!
We know it's one of the main reasons you come to SomernitesCruise so, get your car out on “the
strip” and cruise! Thousands of spectators waving and cheering from streetside! Lots of activities at
businesses up and down the strip. Tune your radio to 97.1FM for great tunes and cruise the night
away! There's plenty to see and do. We want to see you cruising your car or truck! It's a blast!
Please cruise in the outside lanes, be courteous and obey all posted traffic laws. We want to see
you again next month!
Saturday, 10am-5pm at Somerset Library (south end of downtown):
HUGE County Wide Quilt Show!
Car Corral! Buy & sell your streetrods, hotrods and musclecars at
Somernites Cruise!
Do you have too many hotrods or are you in the market for one? We are setting aside a special lot to
sell your showcar or truck! Cost is $20 per show. Just ask for info as you enter the Show & Shine
gates. You may also email us thru the website for additional details.
7:00pm...12th Annual Cool Run & Walk!
The race will be held in the evening on a refreshing, yet challenging, mix of cross country and road
race course. The layout consists of closed streets and parking areas in and around downtown
Somerset and Rocky Hollow Recreation Center where the race begins and ends.
Registration; 4:30-6:30pm
5K Race/Walk: 7:00pm
Expo: 5:00-9:00pm
